What is a virtual run? How does it work?
There is no specific location, just run, walk, jog, bike, or swim during the summer of 2023. This is your race and you set your own pace.
What is the registration cost?
The registration fee is $45. The registration includes entry to the 2023 Deanes Pencil Fund Virtual 5k, an official 2023 Pencil Fund shirt, a donation to Elton and Ruby Deanes Pencil Fund, and shipping of race materials to your home.
When is the last day to register?
Registration is open until August 5, 2023.
When will I receive my race packet?
Race packets will be mailed the week of August 21, 2023.
What forms of payment are accepted?
We accept PayPal, credit cards, and debit cards.
How do I share my picture?
Use the QR code that came with your packet or use this link to share your picture.
Can children participate?
Yes, this 5k is open to anyone of any age!
Do I have to complete the race all at once or can I split it up?
This is your race. You can do it at your pace and anyway you like to do it.
What charity does this race support?
This race supports the Elton and Ruby Deanes Pencil Fund. The fund’s mission is to reduce student loan debt for students attending Historically Black Colleges and Universities.
